  • Persistent feelings of fear, horror, anger, guilt, or shame
  • Feeling detached from others
  • Difficulty experiencing positive emotions

Arousal and reactivity symptoms:

  • Irritability or angry outbursts
  • Reckless or self-destructive behavior
  • Hypervigilance
  • Exaggerated startle response
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Sleep disturbances

Additional challenges often associated with PTSD:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety

  • Relationship difficulties
