The Home Assessment Program Team

I am a former Children’s Services caseworker with 18 years of experience working with children, families, and youth. My strengths lie in bringing families together to problem solve the various barriers that are sometimes put before all of us.  I have a passion for finding the strengths of others and supporting them in providing care for their loved ones. I believe that all people, regardless of socioeconomic status, can move through trauma in many ways, but more easily with supports, such as friends and family, around them. I started writing SAFE Home Studies out of a desire to ensure that there are familiar, culturally appropriate homes that are ready, willing and able to support their family members' children in times of need. I provide a trauma-informed, culturally focused home assessment while working collaboratively with the First Nations, Children's Services, CSD agencies and private applicants.  Since then I have written continuously and began supervising the SAFE Home Study process in 2019. I am on contract with Guided Path as a home study writer and supervisor.
